Thanks, Kendall and Sinsull, for the words about Ezra, and Meghan. He sounds a wonderful young man. Meghan's poem is all the more powerful and relevant in consideration of the tragedy she is experiencing.

Becca and family, a question? Would it be better to let this thread go away for a small bit? NOT that we would stop caring and thinking, but I was wondering if it causes more grief and discouragement seeing it at the top every day? Just a thought...we could all of us let it go for a bit and wait for further word from you. Again, I am NOT suggesting we let any of our care go, just what may be a painful reminder of the lack of any news.

I have family (who do not belong to the Cat) who check in daily to read the words of care and encouragement. It isn't taken as a painful reminder but as an expression of support so no worries there. While I read the thread daily, I don't contribute much simply because of the lack of new information. I'm fine with whatever happens (whether the thread drops off or stays up top).

I think of this thread as one of those "I'll never forget" bracelets. And I know it means a lot to others whose families have suffered a loss.

Saying I will not forget just isn't quite the same as posting to say so. As long as we post, the family do not need to assume we care-- they can know for sure just be looking in.

I know that all the Maineacs know I care, even tho I post seldom. As I said before, I check this thread every time I see there has been a new post and I (less often now) Google to see if there has been anything in the news.

Well I check in every single day. I don't know any of the people involved personally but they are an important part of the Mudcat family and having a son myself I can only guess what they are all going through. I have nothing to add by constant posting but I like to see the thread still at the top.

It was a brilliant idea to ask the family to post descriptions and stories about Ezra. 4 years on (tomorrow is deathiversary) and I still want to tell about Andie. I want new people to know her and love her.

And yes I find it very comforting 9and upsetting) to go into Live Journal and other websites that post memory pages for her. While I am able to learn more about her through friends tellings I am reassured that they are still thinking of her and missing her.

So may this thread reassure and comfort Ezra's family and friends.

I have not fallen into the pit of despair (so far).   I can still come into this thread and hope with all the other good folk.
I am feeling relatively strong which is unusual and makes me feel a bit guilty. I suppose I should be doing week long weeping as I have done every year until this one.

I truly think Mudcat helps me focus less on my own sadness. Max should bottle this stuff. He could make a fortune, as it is a very addictive tonic.
