For those who are interested, there is a local radio station that plays some kind of folkie music just about every morning. You can get it by going to WMPG.org, and hit, "listen" They will be doing an interview with me on Friday the 16th at 7 pm.

I am having trouble with the "Listen" link. AOL (I know!) says it has expired. I must have missed the funeral.

Oh my Lord, Rick, don't tell me you've joined Kendall in his affection for Llamas! And Fernando and Lorenzo sure sound like male names, which shocks me even more!

"Oi say, mate..'ave you 'eard about Carruthers?"
"No, what's 'appened to Carruthers?"
"E's been drummed out of the service!"
"Wot ever for? Carruthers was a fine soldier!"
"Well, they caught him having 'intimate relations' with 'is 'orse!"
"Blimey! Which 'orse? The big stallion 'e sometimes rode?"
"Oh, no..not a MALE 'orse...the little filly! Nothing queer about Carruthers!"

Kendall, you wouldn't dare talk about us because the guy would realize that you're either a raving looney or a freakin' preevert. Your best bet is to sing "Phoebe Snow" and "Lorena" and leave the Llahmas completely out of it.

Also, appropriate dress would help....that is, wear pants and not just pantlegs and a trenchcoat. Try to smile occasionally and avoid getting into discussions about runaway printers or your un-vast knowledge of cybercrap.

First and foremost, try to make your stories interesting and possibly having some point to them as opposed to the mindless, long winded, boring, and completely obtuse shit you tell around here.

These are just a few ideas that I think will help you out. No need to thank me.....Happy to do it.

BTW......Here's a link to the page in question...the station where Kendall is likely to embarass himself on Friday.......unless he heeds my advice.

WMPG Web Radio

HOWEVER, like Sins up there, I can't get the Listen" to work......RealPlayer gives me an error message for Not Found and/or Outdated Link.

Thanks Spaw. I just spent most of the day trying to re-install Real Audio and Real Player. And it wasn't my computer at all!

Kendall - tell the story about Uriah's birthday. Then sing Phoebe Snow and Lorena. If I were you I would avoid "Palace Grand" unless you can do it without picturing Max in puppy dog mode at your feet. Have fun, Captain. You will be great!

I am at the moment listening to Radio WMPG. The sound of an archived Irish Pipes concert by Tom Rota is wonderful here in UK.

The interviewer keeps refering to neighbourhood radio!

Many thanks Kendall. John

John, the "Archives" work just fine here too. Problem is that according to their schedule, they should be on air now and they aren't....at least here. Try clicking on "Listen" and see what you get.

Darn, should have said this is where I found it, and likely where Kendall's set will show up after the fact. http://www.wmpg.org/shows/local_motives/index.htm That is where you will currently find the show from November 9, featuring Kevin O'Reilly.

No Dale, I found that too, but I thought perhaps they had a live link which their site suggests they do. Perhaps they have done away with the live stuff and are only playing the archived material over the net.

I think I'll e-mail them and see what they have to say.

Well........Just now, I thought I'd check and write down exactly what the problem was before e-mailing them and I clicked "Listen" and got their live programming! I suppose they have the same problems as the rest of us with things going down on them too. Well, actually, things going down on me isn't reallya problem and can be quite enjoyable.....Just depends on the "thing" in question. I peronally like to stay within the same genus/species whereas Kendall is more adventurous with the Llahmas and all. BTW, Kendall....How was the chicken?

My comments about Llamas, goats, sheep, etc., from now on will limited to those that reside in the zoo. Frankly, I think people who infer that you might be attracted to four legged (but attractive) animals are being unfair. I apologize for them, and don't feel you you should be obligated to mention this quirk when you are interviewed on the radio. Actually, it's nobody's business. :>)

Not mentioning them is the least of my worries Kendall. Going to the studio wearing a trenchcoat and in the company of a Llahma is what I'm worried about! And whatever you do, leave the chicken at home too.

Kendall,
Tibet has lamas and they are holy men. Llamas are humpy South American mammals. Now what exactly have you been up to?

Enjoy the show tonight. We will all be listening. And I know you well enough to say that you will not stumble through anything. Too professional for that when you are sober.
Have fun.
