And why did it cost so damn much for such primitive information. Go back and look at the software you could buy for $600 in 1988 - I'm glad it was Uncle Sam who was paying the bill for the sotware I used. The manuals were certainly impressive, though. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: BS: This thread intentionally left blank From: The Shambles Date: 25 Jul 06 - 03:47 PM no, shambles, I was just wondering at your usage, since you have objected stenously in the past to Joe's use of "we". As you are aware - my objection to the Chief of the Mudcat Editing Team's use of 'we' is mainly that when he now uses the word - whoever it may include - it no longer includes all posters. Only an unknown few who feel qualified to impose their judgement upon the rest of us. |
Subject: RE: BS: This thread intentionally left blank From: MMario Date: 25 Jul 06 - 03:56 PM I don't think anyone has ever expected the use of the word "we" on this forum to include all posters. Regarding the "unknown few" (many of whom are known) it is *MAX* who granted them the right to impose editing changes. I do believe it has been further stated in several places that virtually all if not all the moderators were approached by Max, rather then the other way 'round. So the use of the phrase "feel qualified to impose their judgement upon the rest of us" certainly is extremly misleading. |
