Subject: RE: BS: What be price of Guinness where you be From: Blackcatter Date: 28 Feb 03 - 10:32 PM Fisheye - I hope you had more than one! That's definately a time to buy in bulk. I had two pints for lunch today along with a wonderful sourdough bread bowl or lobster bisque. The server asked me 3 times if I wanted a glass of water - wonder if he couldn't imagine someone wanting to leave the taste of Guinness lingering in his mouth. pax yall |

Subject: RE: BS: What be price of Guinness where you be From: Blackcatter Date: 01 Mar 03 - 02:36 AM Let us just say there's nothing that rids the mouth of the taste of the Black Liquidation. By the way, when did Guinness become trendy? Every freakin' bar in Orlando seems to have a tap. There's an Icelandic pub in Mount Dora, a sleepy little, antique-selling town 30 miles north of Orlando that has it on draught - I does not go with pickled herring, by the way. |

Subject: RE: BS: What be price of Guinness where you be From: Peg Date: 01 Mar 03 - 03:43 PM It varies widely in Boston but most places it's around $3.50 to $4 per pint in a bar. Generally cheaper in the Irish pubs but not necessarily. The four-pack of draught cans are roughly $5.99 (I think that's what I paid the other night for one). Good idea to buy it on sale and stock up! |
Subject: RE: BS: What be price of Guinness where you be From: Kernow John Date: 01 Mar 03 - 06:30 PM Here on the Lizard it's around £2.60 - £2.80 I got in from Clonakilty tonight and over there it was 2.8 Euros which at the current rate of exchange is about £1.80. The taste was different. Guiness may aim for consistency but this wasn't the case. I didn't detect any difference in temperature. It's a magic place and the music is an experience not to be missed.
