Today, Friday, May 28, 1999 marks a milestone in the journey through this life for me. Today I was able to realize that long standing dream of whistling a few notes by blowing up a possum's ass!!! Cigars all around!!! Barbara, you are a true artist and I have no way of thanking you enough for making me the proud Daddy of a 3 hole possum's ass whistle. He arrived undamaged thanks to your excellent packaging and between blows is occupying a center shelf position in our best china cabinet. I will be tweaking him a bit as you suggested, but if the boy only played one note in his life, he would be one of our most prized possessions. Karen is making a case for him and she too is proud to have such a one-off piece in our collection. Rosewood kazoos my ass...eat your heart out Rick. This weekend we are going to be at Connie and Wayne's with the camper (camping in the backyard...all the kids love it and it's about as much as I can do right now). Actually, Karen says I have amazing recuperative powers, but the reality is, I'm taking it real easy and just doing what the docs and my body says. If I'm tired, I stop immediately. Trust me, I ain't pushin' a damn thing. I''ve got plenty of help setting up the poptop and if I don't feel real hot, Connie has a great couch and several beds. Plus, this is cheap and we can barely afford cheap right now! Saw 2 Docs this week who said I was looking good and on the road back, and I'll see the other 2 next week. One step at a time. Biggest problem is that I can't pick up over 5 pounds and this is causing problems with urination. catspaw |

BUT, this is Mudcat where I immediately got a cohort in crime, the unbelievably talented Barbara, who volunteered to actually make one.
