Subject: RE: Review: Ron Bankley and Old Dude song From: bankley Date: 28 Oct 08 - 02:19 PM well, I don't think genius had much to do with it.... I had a bit of time to spare on a wet morning, and just wanted to encourage O.D. in his writing and playing... a couple of takes and that was it...nothing fancy... would have liked to have had the voice more out front, but had no control on the track sent me..... but it's a cool unpolished souvenir.... the freight train was passing by in the distance as I was finishing up, so I opened the door and recorded the horn..... now how about a song for fire engines, O.D. ? or garbage trucks ?... "That trashy gal sure burnt me good Now, I'm the talk of the neighbourhood " .... |

Subject: RE: Review: Ron Bankley and Old Dude song From: bobad Date: 28 Oct 08 - 06:41 PM Great job guys, lovely tune and great playing, the train whistle makes for the perfect bookends. As Jayto says, the "feel" of the song is what makes it. I've always been a sucker for train songs. |
