Fire in Houston blamed on inflatable gorilla

HOUSTON - Fire department officials said an out-of-control inflatable gorilla was blamed for a rooftop blaze at a Houston shopping center. No injuries were reported in the fire early Thursday.

BTW, did anyone else hear about some recent court ruling sayin' that local governemnt could not ban blow up Chongos (and other blow up thingies) from being used???

I believe it's Texas that makes it illegal to buy/sell sex toys, although there's no law against possessing one.

That might apply to Chongo and his girlilla(?)

Them butt-ugly inflatable gorillas are hazardous, no doubt about it. They ain't as hazardous as some real gorillas, though. I can vouch for that. This may have been an incident arranged by human agents provocateurs to discredit primates. I wouldn't be surprised. There is some dirty stuff goin' on out there.

Logic reveals the anti-ape bigotry here:

It wasn't the gorilla that caused the fire, it was the air compressor that didn't work or the wiring that failed to deliver current to it. Or maybe the person who put the gorilla too close to the lights.

Chongo is going to start a campaign bringing these facts to the attention of the world.

You are so right, Leenieia! There is a lotta real bad prejudice out there against apes, and this here thread is a prime example of it. I am not gonna rest unti people get the message that this kinda specism is intolerable and will not be tolerated! One day you will see some apes sittin' on the USA Supreme Court and THEN things will change.
