Does it deserve its own thread? *shrug*...but it does illustrate, to me, the difficulty involved in even allowing morality to be judged and the will of 'higher powers' to BE interpreted by any group of (usually) men who seek to perpetuate controls over both women and society in general.

In my 111 Geology class, we had 2 exams where we had to identify first minerals, then rocks from samples the grad' asst. laid out on tables.

During the rock test, as I was walking from table to table, I glanced over at the grad. asst. where he sat reading.

He was reading "The Myth of Sisyphus". I almost couldn't concentrate on the exam.

Methinks that Iranian senior cleric must be somehow related to Pat Robertson, but their theories on the origins of earthquakes tend to diverge a bit. Robertson pronounced that the Haitian earthquake was God's punishment for the Haitians rebelling against their French slave-masters many years ago, and for practicing voodoo.

And all this time I thought it had something to do with plate techtonics!
