Ok so back home they say some guys spotted bigfoot again. Now there is some serious woods in those mountains. This spring I am gonna put on my ghillie suit, bring a flir thermal camera and some night vision and go off and hunt the hairy guy. No I won't hurt him, I just got some questions fer him when I corner the big guy with my camera.

1. Is it true you are cousin to Chongo?
2. What did you step in to smell that bad
3. Ever think of going to the big and tall shop for some shoes?

what do you want me to ask him ... I really am going to find him. I can track anything and I got the gear .. So I will ask him your questions fer ya.

I'm not sure it will do you any good to ask him questions, but I would like to get a complete report on his dietary habits, daily routine, sleeping accomodations, social life, and general lifestyle. Then I'd like his advice on the best way to cross borders and not have to deal with customs agents. Get some good photos, okay? ;-)

Some years ago I spent a lot of time in the mountains with my oldest brother. He was a starry-eyed seeker- after gold and old bottles, and bigfoot.

In the Pacific Northwest's forested mountains Sasquatch is often reported. After a particularly active period of 'sightings' I got the brilliant idea that I would propose to my brother a three-week stalking of the elusive bigfoot.

Then it occurred to me: If I am hesitant to seek out inter-planetary travelers, who are supposedly smarter than I, why on earth would I want to come face to face with Sasquatch, a being supposedly dumber than me?

Pepper spray, Naw, I will be pretty well armed. But that is not for the bigfoot critter, lots of bears, coyotes, wolfs and everything else back there and is a last resort thing. It is a National forest and very thick, swamps ... and of course bugs .. I hate bugs.   I know the place like the back of my hand so if I go at it alone I am fine. Will be able to communicate if I got hurt ... I never do ... I drive my family nuts ... Dad's doing his bear gryls stuff again ... but I have fun and this is a good mission. Find the big guy and get some real video and not some blurry crap ..

Me? Thanks but noooo Dan. On accounta I can track any animal anywhere in the boreal bush and I don't need any fancy equipment. If Bigfoot was actually "found", think of what it would mean. The end of the mystique and the end of Bigfoot. Be a celeb for a while, but then, from leaves to riches overnight??? End up bein a flash in the pan havin to go to rehab from the drugs and hookers. Get a shitty job at minimum wage... I mean, what skills? Putting heavy boxes on high shelves at Walmart. He couldn't even be a Walmart greeter, scarin the kids n all. NO, I SAY! Bigfoot should remain free to roam and shit in the woods.

Unless... you leave your camera home and we just hang out with Bigfoot, have some ales, swap stories... a guy's night out eh? And, he WILL hang out with us. Shy and reclusive? No problem with the right "bait". We just bring some Royale bathroom tissue and set it out when we get close. The TV ads say it's like wiping yer ass with kittens. Since it's fall and the leaves have fallen and are pretty rough ass on the ass, we'd have Bigfoot at a disadvantage fer sure... out in the open and a "captive audience".

There's a guy at the university here -- Jeff Meldrum -- who's one of the world's experts on Bigfoot (or Biggy, as we call him out here). Jeff told me that seeing Biggy is a real experience, especially if he's walking down Clark Street and you run into him around 2 a.m. after a night at Hooligan's. Folks swear that they've seen Biggy pick up a UPRR locomotive, eat it, burp, and continue on up into the hills. Of course, the UP denies this but they're part of the cover-up.

Speaking of sightings - weren't we? - the husband of a friend of mine was taking his 11-year-old son and his son's friend on a camping trip in the mountains south of Sweet Home, Oregon.

They had gotten a late start and it got dark. The boys were dozing in the back seat when husband came around a curve and in the middle of the road was a tall, hairy critter standing upright staring into the car's lights.

Friend hit the brakes and Critter took a couple of long steps and disappeared into the woods on the right hand side of the road.

Now, Friend is a longtime hunter and trapper. He says the one thing he does know is that that warn't no bear.

GNU, ya can't track if you can't pick up the trail to stumble across. Its a really big woods there guy ... if there is a trail I can track anything anywhere ... but if something is lurking in the brush or over the ridge in another direction left or right of ya the thermal tells ya, then you can pick up the trail and track .. just saves time.

Dan... call up yer buddies in special ops and book a Blackhawk an I'll go with. I mean, fer that matter, get SATTQ to find Bigfoot first and we'll take the Blackhawk in zero. But, you rappel and report. I ain't into any kinda rap shit.

In any case, the first thing you learn when trackin is where what yer trackin is gonna be. Say, if you were trackin RCMP on the rural highways of New Brunswick, you would look for Church spires from a high point as they like to sit in church parkin lots and wait fer speeders and rednecks what they know is up to no good. If you are in town, well, Tim Horton Donuts is the logical choice, but ya don't hafta get up on a rise ta spot a Tim's on accounta there is a Tim's just up ahead in any direction. Ya gotta know the geography and habitat what attracts what yer trackin.

Anyway, I still don't think exposin Bigfoot is a good idea. I coulda exposed the Kent County Bigarse years ago, but I never even told nobody about my encounters. I still have dreams... errrr... nightmares.

They mostly are found in such terrain and habitat as liking the Legion, such as in the lumber town Chipman-Minto. I can't imagine anyone daring to confront them in the Legion late at night unless it was someone like Shane. Even then, he would have had to run out of beer after the Irving closed.

I never was in there myself, but I was in the Irving next to the Legion getting Bud and gas and there were Bigarses in the parking lot, but off in the shadows. It was scarey but I kept my cool and didn't make eye contact.

I understand that Bigfoot was sighted on the streets of Blind River, Ontario several times. The description of the witnesses each time corresponded to the classical description: shaggy, dirty hair and a stink that would knock a buzzard off a gut wagon. He was often seen sitting outside Tim Horton's, sucking his toes. Local police determined that it just local resident Shame McBride and they put him in his second home, the drunk tank.

One of my other reasons is there are reports of cougars back there again. They haven't been seen for many many years. I sure hope so. I would love to put some eyes on or find a track or two ... Pretty cool if the big cats are back in the bush. Makes sense to me there are a lot of Elk there
