This whole thing, is being contrived by phonies to bring us to a corporate/governmental totalitarian fascism. I would encourage all those involved in the 'partisan debates' to exercise love, compassion and understanding to each other, and in putting those first, you may find that the 'empowered' hypocrite's lies, whether an elected person, or a 'news' media personality may lose their grip on you! I vote...and I have been involved in politics...and civil rights. And made a difference in both. I have helped teach kids to think... to analyze HOW things work...in hopes some of it will sink in. And if you study my history of posting here, that has been my major focus in these debates/discussions. Yeah, I have viewpoints, but I really avoid sweeping generalizations. I see YOU being concerned, but being inordinately involved in describing the bad rather than looking for the good. I'd love to be wrong, but that's the image you project. I mean, shut down the government and all of a sudden there isn't paycheck for the folks that take care of yer great aunt and now we are not only laying workers off in every nursing home in the nation but we are also going to have to start sending great auntie to you to care for... They will offer a mini extension of goverment operations until the end of March in exchange for a mini budge cut of 2 billion dollars for things like aid to starving orphans and food stamps for the elderly etc. - hoping that Obama will veto it and then blame an extended government shut down on Obama's veto of the tiny 2 billion dollar cut in the budget. This way republicans hope to avoid any blame for the damage and expense that a shut down would cause. A regular CR would be favorable in comparison. |
