It seems that the GOP is using the Citizens United decision in order to pump money into a sagging economy---by campaign funding on a grand scale. It's not certain how the increased TV, Billboard and phone company income will trickle down to the masses, but, I guess, it's one way of getting more cash into circulation.

I guess much of the money is spent with the media, so indirectly trickles down to their employees and stockholders.

Dang, in the old days they would have stood drinks for me at the saloon. (mourn, mourn, )

Used to close the liquor stores and taverns here until the polls were closed to make sure people were sober and to make sure they voted. Yeah, sure. It was so they could buy votes with a pony (ten ponies in a gallon for those that don't know). Of course, rich candidates could hand out pints.

Oh sure, the Repubs love stimulus plans as long as they go to the military/industrial complex or dirty tricks...
