If Dodgy Dave is finally forced to quit, who will be the next PM?

Obviously the con-servatives would survive a vote of no confidence (it's the one thing that would unite them). There is no Deputy PM at present. Sniffing Gideon is so unpopular that the next "normal" fallback ie the chancellor would seem hard to work.

So - May? Likely to play well with the UKIP retards and other xenophobes.

BoJo? OMFG.

Gove (I run from the room screaming).

Some discussion here - http://www.thecanary.co/2016/04/08/if-david-cameron-resigns-heres-who-will-be-our-next-prime-minister/

This line near the bottom of the article is a bit of a giveaway to where it's coming from.

"A mass demonstration to call for David Cameron's resignation is taking place at Downing Street on Saturday April 9, at 12 noon. Details here."

It's all left wing froth and wishful thinking.

He's not mislead the house, he's not evaded tax and he's not broken any parliamentary rules or laws of the country.

The only thing we learn from all this is that Labour can still not do economics.

Why is anyone surprised at this?....Do we have an alternative in the short term?........Most of the parliamentary Party hate Mr Corbyn more than they hate Mr Cameron. :0)

You keep voting them in these parasites.....remember Mr Straw's speaking fees. getting more money in a couple of hours than most low paid get in a month.    "THEY'RE ALL IN IT TOGETHER"

"He's not mislead the house, "
He appears to have denied any involvement in the tax evasion firm four times singe the matter came to light (don't know if the cock crew after the third time)
That is misleading the country, never mind the house.
"The only thing we learn from all this is that Labour can still not do economics."
Based on the number of economic crises, banking scandals and expenses scams it appears none of them can do economics - picking out one particular party as scapegoat is a little "my economic idiot is not as bad as your economic idiot", don't you think.
Since the balmy Thatcher days, making the less-well-off pay for the shortcomings of them in charge in order to make the wealthy wealthier has become "good economics" - in the process, we have lost virtually all our industries and are totally reliant on buying from abroad, largely from politically unstable and repressive countries - good economics maybe - increasingly lousy governance.
Please please, please let the one who follows Cameron be 'Boris the Clit' - then perhaps we will see the back of this lot altogether - it's hard enough to tke any of them seriously as national leaders as it is.
Jim Carroll

We never vote IN anyone. We simply vote out the last lot.

Good point. Though last time it was more a case of voting out one party that was in, the LibDems, and voting with the feet to repel a Labour crew who were seen as even more cynical and incompetent than the incumbents.

As I am want to keep pointing out it's not the party faithfulls who elect governments, it's the wishy washy what's in it for me minded floating voters, who don't give a shit about the poor and needy as long as they get something.

Why are the rich and wealthy of our society so greedy ? I'm not greedy, I've not got a lot but enough to live on, and I don't try to hide any of it [ even if I knew how ]

Greed always wins.

there will always be greed, but we have still achieved a more comprehensive benefits system and health service than most (any?) similar states.

Oh come on now. you can't blame someone as filthy rich as Cameron for not knowing exactly how much old family money he's got
or where it's all hidden...

My mum's only on state pension, but last week I found a ten pound note
stashed away in an envelope behind the toaster that she'd completely forgot about... 😜

The worst nightmare would be if the White House got Donald, and Downing Street got Boris.

Time for a Shakespearean quotation:

MACBETH:Wherefore was that cry?
SEYTON: The queen, my lord, is dead.
MACBETH: She should have died hereafter;
There would have been a time for such a word.
...
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death.

The timing of this couldn't be much worse with regard to the EU elections. If Cameron stays his 'badly handled week' will roll on and on; if he goes, and Boris comes in - for example - the Government's view on exit goes into reverse.

Whether you are pro or anti, you can't really think the decisive factor should be whether Cameron declared all his taxes or not.

Correct me if I am wrong but Scum-Moron is now on his SEVENTH "clean breast" and the latest involves some £72,000 not declared for tax, and hidden by some technically lawful scheme of which doubtless Bozo approves.

We know he is hiding things. We know he has been complicit in what he has condemned as "immoral" in others.

To get rid of the con-servatives would involve finding a way round the Fixed Term Parliaments Act. A vote of no confidence would result in all the crooks lining up to defend each other so would not pass. One way would be to repeal the Act (the conservatives MIGHT do this to save face) and then a snap election would be possible. Barring that relatively unlikely pathway, we are stuck with this gang of liars and thieves until 2020.

But it is looking increasingly as if Scum-moron's position is untenable, and even the press run and controlled by the right-wing offshore loonies are gunning for Mr Piggy. He looks like a dead man walking.

The question is - who amongst the con-servatives will replace him as PM?
