I'm sure I've mentioned the before but can't find it. Doing some crack filling and repairs before decorating. It always kicks me off on the famous DIY song

Oh Polycell, oh Polycell
The grouting's now begun

Any more?

Not really a folk song but a more modern song that I enjoy that really encapsulates the DIY-er's spirit is

Hard On Equipment (Tool for the Job) by Corb Lund, a Canadian singer

Yes, you've mentioned it before but no other lyrics were forthcoming.
No other hits found with Google.

When I was renovating houses I used to unconsciously sing "This old house is falling down around my ears," from the Richard Thompson song.

Or you could watch The Red Green Show for inspiration. 101 uses for duct tape. "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."
