Subject: Does Anyone know this song??????

If anyone can help me with this earworm I love to play.... The song (I believe) is a cajun-french song... The words are something like "Eika-weika-wann-ee" A simple 1-4-5 progression (E,A7,B7) - and the chorus goes,.. "Tell me nah, HEY-NA! ,.....HEY-NA,.....IKE-A, IKE-A wann-ee If you can help I'd be most appreciative... -MAtthew -BAton Rouge, LA

Matt,
You're bringing back memories of campfire nights with the Indian Princesses. While I think it has a Carribean beat, and I seem to recall hearing it on a Jimmy Buffet CD. Unfortunately, while I can remember traces of the song, I don't remember enough of it. I'll check my CD at home and see it I can catch enough of the words to help.

This song is usually known as "Iko Iko", and it has been discussed extensively in several Mudcat threads. Here is a link to one of them, or you can search the Forum for the word "Iko".
