Dunno if this is it or not:

100

How do I love thee, let me count the ways
A million, a billion, so many I can’t even say
How do I love thee, at least a hundred ways
One hundred

When I met you I was half of me and you were half of you
But when we said “I do”, we made one from two;
Now you are

A hundred sonnets sleeping in my head
A hundred fireflies dancing in my bed
A hundred reasons to just stay home instead
One hundred

How do I love thee, let me count the ways
A billion, a trillion, so many I can’t even say
How many kisses I’ll give you every day
One hundred

Now what we have together ain’t a dime-store novel rendezvous
But I still count the hours 'til the time I can show you:

A hundred sonnets sleeping in my head
A hundred fireflies dancing in my bed
A hundred reasons to just stay home instead
One hundred. One hundred.

It's from "A Rare Conundrum" and goes like this (don't do the HTML thing, so hope it's not too confusing. I can photocopy the lyric insert from the LP if you want me to send it to you.

Out in the sun, playing at the ball,
In the world of a child with no cares at all,
My friend said, “Let’s play hide and seek.
Close your eyes and promise that you'll never peek.
Close your eyes. Count to a hundred.”

One to a hundred, I counted slow,
But I never did find where my friend did go.
Mom said she heard the other day,
“Your friend has gone so far away.”
Close your eyes. Count to a hundred.

Soon comes the morning with the rising sun.
Playing at the ball I'd just begun.
“Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, have no fear,”
Sang a voice I knew ringing in my ears.
“Close your eyes. Count to a hundred.”

“Why don't you come and play? Come play hide and seek
In the depths of the quarry woods. You’ll never find me there.
Come catch me if you can. Catch me if you can.

She will ask when I get home,
“What have you done today, my son?”
“I was playing ball on the corner street.
With my friend I was out playing hide and seek.”
Close your eyes. count to a hundred.

Dear Helge,

Glad to be of help. That was one of my favorite Bert Jansch albums. Between his original songs and the arrangements he did on Pretty Saro and Curragh of Kildare, there's not much room for improvement.
