Well, with Iraq soon to be X'd off the Axis of Evil list and Korea having a little "Shock and Awe" of it's own, that's only gonna leave Iran. Well, that means that Bush will be taking applications for a couple of new members.

Any nominations?

And no, Wes Ginny is not eligible 'cause technically it's, ahhhh, part of the United States at the moment.

Funny you say that MarkS. I was just reading an interview with Moyers and Hedges (that is Chris Hedges- correspondent for the NYT) and he basically said that, war is a disease, it is addictive and a narcotic to those in power. An interesting readhere if anyone is interested.

Bobert-China? France? Germany? Mexico? Canada? Who the hell knows what the fanatic will do next, hopefully be impeached!

Well, Toadster, I ain't too sure why Bush would pick us other than with his Weapons of Mass Destruction, we probably wouldn't put up much of a fight. That's one of the criteria for membership. Now, if we could just get us a nuke like North Korea? Hmmmmmm? Wonder if my cousin, Rufus, has a line on one. That boy can find just about anything a man could want... When it appeared possible that the first 'surgical' strike may have taken out Hussein and his bad news boys, I thought, OK, if the war ends now, maybe it was worth it. The man has killed thousands of people- if he can be killed so quickly along with maybe 15 others, that's a good trade...

Now I'm back to my original thought: This is NOT a war, it's an ASSAULT on a small nation woefully unable to defend itself.

My own guess is Pakistan- with frequent forays into Saudi Arabia. I remember what a former sister in law of his said when asked if bin Laden had in actuality been disowned: 'You must understand. They don't approve of him, but he is family, and family is very important to Muslims.'

I could never figure that whole Axis of Evil thing. I grew up learning about the Axis vs the Allies in WWII and I though part of the whole thing was that Germany, Italy and Japan were working together. I don't know about N.K., but I doubt that Iran & Iraq have anything goin on between them.

Also - Why is Iran on the list? We don't really hate them any more do we? They're easing up on being really strict and opening up to the west.

As for invading Canada, the U.S. can't figure out what to do with Alaska, what would we do with eastern Alaska? Besides, the Quebecois would hate being only the third biggest minority in the country. They've already got an inferiority complex. And the names of the provinces are all wrong. British Columbia? Nova Scotia? Come on - we'd have to come up with American names.

Howzabout Florida? Got plenty of weapons of mass destruction. Just tested a big one a few days ago - rattled windows all over four counties. Got an evil head of state - Hell, he's Dubya's brother so he's gotta be evil. And, worst of all, got a damned big-ass mouse lives in the central part of the state that no amount of D-con will kill. I say, "Nuke 'em! Mouse and all!". Just give me 15 minutes head start 'cause that's about how long it takes for me to get to the Alabama line.

Lots of oil, oil shale, tar sands, natural gas, peat bogs, potash, uranium, diamond, and much, much more. High tech weapons systems ? We have all kinds... how did you like the Arrow ? Pretty snappy bird, eh ? I know it was a long time ago, in terms of modern aircraft, but, just one example, the new aircraft composite frame and skin designs are in no small part being contributed to by Canehdian engineers - a continuance of our long standing ability to develop technology and sell it to the US military for peanuts. Oops. Thought you were talking about Canuckistan. We got nuke power plants. The Candu reactor is famous. And we sell them to any country that wants one, mostly countries who can't afford to pay us. gnu, I didn't much care for the racial slur you stuck in there. Who do you think settled New Brunswick, (i.e. took it from the MicMac)? Native-born majority? Nope it was my British/American ancestors (and probably yours I'm bettin'), and French colonists (ohmigod).

Better get used to people from other countries who come here cause it's a good place to live (even though the weather frequently sucks.) It's a lot better than having them come here to blow up tall buildings.

Germany would be a reasonable target for the B-52s and Cruise missiles. After all, Schroeder has been very disobedient about going to war against the might of Iraq. However, the problem from Boss Hogg's point of view is that half the bloody place is American property. I do not just mean the MacDonalds and American Bars (although I don't mind at all if they get hit). I am talking about cites' utilities - electricity, water and sewerage which are now owned by US companies on lease back arrangements. (Some of us call them tax swindles). I am feeling safer now. Not even Dubya can make the voters pay for the large scale destruction of his businessmens' assets. Now if these things belonged to ordinary Americans, I'd be worried!
