Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: Little Hawk Date: 19 May 04 - 05:09 PM No, no, jOhn! You cannot expect a thread with someone controversial like Tony Blair in it to only net a single post. No way. You should have picked a much blander subject than that. |

Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: Richard Bridge Date: 19 May 04 - 05:18 PM A very restrained response by campaigners to politicians who smugly sit on their tockusses and blank demands for reform of a major injustice. Where is Guy Fawkes when you need him? |

Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: vectis Date: 19 May 04 - 06:12 PM It's madness. They sealed the public galleries to protect Parliament and then auction a ticket in front of the glass to the highest bidder. It would have served them right if he'd been a terrorist and had murdered the lot of them instead of a father fighting for justice. |
Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: Jim McCallan Date: 19 May 04 - 06:18 PM The people were there at Baroness Golding's invitation...., and she is 'deeply distressed' at this. Another thing was, was that the politicians immediately evacuated the chamber. I they had have been contaminated, the first thing they should have done as stayed exactly where they were. It didn't enter anybody's head that they should do this And that is an even bigger security breach, in my opinion. Jim |
Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: GUEST Date: 19 May 04 - 06:19 PM Apparently Robbie Fowler is still clearing it up. |
Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: Jim McCallan Date: 19 May 04 - 06:21 PM ... sorry. Third line should read: If they had have been contaminated, the first thing they should have done was to have stayed exactly where they were. Jim |

Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: Jim McCallan Date: 19 May 04 - 07:33 PM Were the condoms 'used', before they threw them, I wonder?? (the protesters lobbed condoms filled with self-raising flour, dyed purple) Jim |

Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: GUEST,Teribus Date: 20 May 04 - 08:29 AM dianavan, 19 May 04 - 10:36 PM "Hooray!!!!!! How about water balloons filled with fake blood. Do you think anyone could get that close to Bush?" No, I think that over in the US they take the personal security of their head of state a bit more seriously. As for your "Hooray!!!!!!" and the implied desire to see a similar incident involving GWB - You would probably be the loudest in the cries of outrage and indignation, when the poor fool who attempted such a thing gets shot. Agree totally with what Jim McCallan had to say regarding response. Simple fact of the matter is that in this day and age such an act of "protest" should not be possible in the House of Commons. |
Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: GUEST,Mr Red (apolitcally speaking that is) Date: 20 May 04 - 08:29 AM perhaps the bomber should have been father (sic) away. |

Subject: RE: BS: Tony Blair Powdered From: Richard Bridge Date: 21 May 04 - 07:13 PM Perhaps if politicians were prevented from having security much less lethal security they would pay more attention to what people thought. Or to justice. |
