We thought we would share with you all our happy news! Micca and I are to be Handfasted on Saturday 14th May 2005 in the Barn of the Black Lion Pub in Plaistow East London. We would to like to invite any catters that can make it. We will be posting more details in the new year along with a list of B&B's if people are travelling a long way. Oaklet and his band Cara have agreed to play at the reception and we hope to get a session and a singaround going too.

We do hope that you can come along and help us celebrate the start of our new journey together.

Well I got a pretty fast hand too but I don't use it anymore because it was too hard to get the hair off of my palms............Anyway, I guess I will congratulate you both on having fast hands and wanting, evidently, to share them in the long term. All the food is provided. I went to the pub to arrange the catering the other day and they have planned a lovely spread for everyone...even said they would put whatever guest ale on the bar for us too! Will have to give the pub approx numbers nearer teh time. All you need to do is bring yourself and your instruments!!

We are planning to do the 'legal bit' either the week before the Handfasting or sometime in June....that will be a small do with just family though. The Handfasting will be a grand party by the sounds of it!

Just over 5 months to go and we are up to our eyes in preparations! We are doing the legal bit with Family only on the 7th May in Yorkshire and then the Handfasting with most of our friends on the 14th.

We do need to know ball park numbers for the caterers in the next couple of months so if you know you are definately coming and haven't already said please let me know!...can't have you all going hungry!

The Wedding Dress is being made...well I have bought the pattern and I have a couple of friends sorting it all out. Designs for the wedding rings are being drawn up. Just need to find a hairdresser and a flourist!

Quite a few people have asked me about the dress code for the Handfasting....well....its smart casual...if you want to dress up or wear medievil/gothic/hippy clothing then feel free!!! The most important thing is to be comfortable!....and remember you voices and instruments there will be plenty of singing and music!!

Well, we're nearly packed and almost ready to get close to being in the vicinity of catching probably the right train to get somewhere in the region of London sometime adjacent to the time we're supposed to be somewhere.
