Well, its done. The finger has been at least partially straightened, the morphine has worn off and they wouldn't give him any more so I've collected him and settled him down at home. He is sitting gazing at beloved guitars he won't be able to play for a few weeks and needing a lot of looking after (whats new I hear you ask).
