Well, perhaps not quite Scotland but certainly Scottish regiments. Not only that he has become a Colonel in the British Army! I quote,

"Colonel Martin Gibson, of the Royal Scots Regimental Association, said the campaign to save the regiments would continue."

True, I have a physical disability. But no, I'm not bitter about it, nor have I ever been. And I do not think anybody owes me anything because of it. That's simply the luck of the draw, and I'm not going to waste my life brooding about it. I find it damned inconvenient from time to time, but it's never kept me from doing anything I've wanted to do, including having a pretty good career as a professional musician.

I'll tell you this:   I'd a helluva lot rather have a physical handicap than the kind of moral handicap that allows you to use my disability as fodder for your taunting.

There is really no comparison possible between a physical handicap - which is, when it comes down to it, merely a limitation; if you have a lame foot you're probably not going to take up a position as a dance instructor- and a moral/emotional handicap which limits EVERYTHING. Not only that, with a physical handicap you can have as many friends as your life can handle. With a moral/emotional handicap friends are few and far between and probably don't stay around long, once they get to know you. Hardly worth the title of friend.

Martin, I have also come to respect some of your postings but sometimes it causes some distress to see the depths to which not just you but some others also will stoop to just to "finish it" as you put it. I don't see this as winning, merely overcoming...and there is a difference.
As I previously said, I don't expect what I say to be acted upon or to have any influence but feel I want to say it anyway.
Such little effort would be needed by all concerned to make the Cat a "better" place to be.....Seems to me that opinions are fine but it so often comes down to personal insults and wind ups...something we have to live with I suppose.
