Note= It's a website for ambulance drivers, but i doubt theyd mind a few folkies having a look.





anyway=a few years ago, I did a course with Hull EHO [Enviromental Health Officers], one of the training videos we saw, showed a donner kebab, at an inspection, it smelt a bit "odd", they cut it in half, it was full of live maggots!

This is true , you could ask them, [Hull EHO= 01482 300 300 [ask for Food Inspection Team.

John, at the bottom of this page is a blue clicky that says Make a link ("blue clicky") - right click to get a new window and use that - if you leave it open you can use it many times - if you left click on it you will lose this page and have to reopen it.


Cut & Paste -

highlight the text you want by left click - drag with button down - release - you need to fiddle till you get it just where you want

either use the Edit link at top of screen to copy and the in the new window use the paste one

or to copy hit the 'Ctrlkey & c' keys - to paste 'Ctrlkey & v' keys together - the 'Ctrlkey & x' keys will cut (delete) the text - doesn't work on displayed web pages though - it only works in Notepad etc.

John - once you have used the blue clicky maker for some time, you will eventually work out how to type the whole thing from scratch - but it will take time for you to learn it...

Donner kebabs are thin slices of what I think is spiced minced lamb that has been moulded into a large cylindrical mass that is placed on an upright spit and turned next to a heat source.

The meat is sliced off as required and put into a pitta pocket with salad and chilli sauce.

By the way, in the land of the Gods the anbrosia he refers to is called "Souvlaki" and "Gyros" respectively (shish/donner).
I make my own souvlakia, haven't killed anyone yet. As for gyros, if it is not used up on the same day it should be thrown away otherwise you could indeed run a risk - by the third or fourth day of reheating...

Efcharisto for those lovely snapshots lepus. I have been looking too much for a nice present for my aged aunt Athina. She will like one of those. A nice frame now, maybe of olive wood will help show it to it's best?
Her legs are weak, but I build her up with gyros. She can eat two if she has been to the church. The singing makes her hunger come. We think it is a miracle. She will be crying real tears when she opens the present.
I too like shawarma. Don't lissen ever to ambulance men. I know now they speak of what they don't care.
