That's a long standing problem with British cars.....they just don't start. It's often hard to tell just which manufacturer was responsible as Lucas, S-U, Smith, and a variety of others were sorry excuses for anything let alone their supposed function.

If you have a 20 year old Rooney that doesn't start, I'd trade the damn thing for a BMW or something made by people with more than a sense of style....like a sense of engineering perhaps.

Friend of mine said the same thing. No matter what she tried, Ol' Rooney just couldn't get started. And I won't discuss this further, 'cause Bill Rooney is a nice guy and she figured that, since nice guys finist last it would be a WILD evening, but even the Viagra she slipped him didn't help any.

Oh traj ed deee..... (slaps back of hand to brow and sighs plaintively).

I seem to remember my brothers' football boots weighed about 8lbs each.... and that's before they had the studs in and one of those nice honeycomb patterns of clotted mud and grass adhering to the soles. Perhaps if footballers wore boots that weren't made of ping pong ball plastic then they might get to keep their feet in better shape.

We've heard this piffle so much it's easier to ignore than chastise, but when it includes 'unfit' you just have to laugh. There no pig's bladder either (never has been), the crack about intelligence is obviously a penis envy thing (how much you earning Big Phil?) and, frankly, they seem to manage perfectly well on 100k a WEEK, thank you.

Old type football boots might have protected the weaqrer's feet a bit better than these modern ballet shoes they wear, but they were pretty vicious weapons against opponents.

I remember stories once about how teams in Africa used to go in for playing barefoot. Maybe that's the answer.

It's pretty easy really Richard, if you don't like the football, you can go over to where they are talking about the Eurovision Song Contest, or Show of Hands latest album, or the history or the Wild Rover, or Bush's latest speech or whatever. Football has given me exercise, passion, friends and fun. My world has been better with it. If it is no fun for you, fair enough. We aren't going to come and play it on your lawn though.

I just saw that Rooney's scan has been upped to June 7 so he can be replaced if deemed unhealthy. Sounds suspicious to me... and, not in a good way.
