The Maine contingent has taken off for the Getaway after a night of mirth at Chez Morse. We laughed until we cried. You had to be there.

Anyway, I consoled myself with memories of Getaways Past. The U-Tube is one of Mick's best moments.

Strange but true: the SPUD was on display at BillD's table which explains a serious drop in this year's sales.

I was a duck or a stork this year, not really sure which. No more! It is time for someone else to pick up the torch and run with it. But try not to set anyone afire.

There are still some horse and duck costumes available at $10/each. Money goes to the Getaway scholarship and Pene Azul funds.

As one of those amazing flamingo's -- and I'm still waiting to hear from Mary Lamarca who took one home to use in her Wayne Newton act straight from the falmingo club -- I'd have to say that it's probably very lucky that all of the camera men apper to have been too busy valiently trying to hold the camera steady and not shake with laughter to bother with any zoom ins of individual behavior.

Mick it could have been a whole lot worse. At least we love you.

That was indeed (not a, but THE) Micca, and myself, recreating a diver's airpump in a vain attempt, via sympathetic magic, to reinflate Big Mick's . . . er . . . frontal attachment, which was visibly deflating and seemed unlikely to last the song. I hope he's grateful for our efforts - just imagine what Spaw would have said if Mick had ended the song with his horse collapsed around his ankles.
