Strange, before reading this I would have bet my life on "Gossip Calypso" having been performed by Lance Percival 'cos he was always on 60's telly singing . . . er . . . calypsos.

Bit more Bernard Cribbins trivia? My kids know his voice as that of Roald Dahl's "BFG" from the booktape that we used to play them in the car to keep them quiet.

I still use the phrase "The trouble with 'im is 'ees to 'asty. You never get nowhere if you're too 'asty" if someone c*ck's things up in work.
