GUEST, I was there at the beginning man BS: Will this thread reach 85 billion posts? (3095* d) RE: BS: Will this thread reach 85 billion posts? 05 Sep 06

It is with great regret that I have to inform fellow posters on this thread ('specially the 100ers) it is my firm belief that this thread is now dead in the water. For a few heady days back in June it seemed as though we were at the start of something big. A radical young prophet by the name of Blind DRunk in Blind River gave a coded message that showed a few people (why so few?) a glimpse of eternity. Yes we were young. Yes we were foolish. But we wanted to make a difference (with Tee shirts and everything), but it wasn't to be. I for one can't continue with the hurt as each day passes with no more posts keeping us on track with our one billion goal. I'm not sure of the intentions of the other 'followers', but I for one am signing off a near (but not totally) broken man. You will never again see a post from 'good old' I was there at the beginning man, on this or any other thread.

Perhaps one day, however, in a few years time, you will read another post that will cause you to ask, "Could that person be...?. No surely not?... But is sounds a bit like him, though the name is different?..." ... It might be comrades, it might be.

But before I do go I just want to say a heartfelt 'farewell' to all my friends (if I can call you that?) who kept me entertained on cold summer's evenings.

Well goodbye then, you shall never hear from me again.

It's over.

Farewell

Farewell.
