I just spoke to Gene over the phone earlier this evening...he sounded in better spirits than I'd been led to expect...anyway, he'd obviously been informed about this thread by a third party and called to thank me for setting the ball rolling...I think he'd clocked the sudden upsurge in interest on myspace and was puzzled before finding out!

He said to thank everyone for taking the time to listen, and also to thank "the folk police, for providing much unintended amusement"- his words, not mine...I can't think what he might mean by that :)

He also mentioned he plans to put more new tracks up at some point in the next week- I'll keep an eye on his site and (with Gene's blessing) probably start another thread once the new tracks are up.
