Really must go now... Matt, I don't remember ever seeing any reference to any UK performer outside the Carthy/Lakeman/Hardy/Rusby/Bellowhead/etc. circle. (Not knocking these artists btw- I like some of them.) I've never seen any reviews of folk club gigs. I'd love to be proved wrong though! leave some examples here and I'll be back. BTW, re the Magpie's, if you disagree with me that's your perogative. See my earlier reply. Duty calls- back to work.
