I've just read two extensive articles on Doc and I can't believe how much I DIDN'T know about him. He built his own house! He fixes TVs and radios, and he named his son after Merle Travis. I'm looking for some of the recordings Rick mentioned, and I think I may actually give this a shot. You won't believe this, but all the technical mumbo jumbo has started to make a little sense. To my surprise I'm NOT freaking out. I may even look at some guitars. M
