At the time of the limo ride, "Pos 4th Street/Can U pls Crawl," Dylan was undergoing a conscious shift in his musical evolution (the M. O. for his career). Ochs had not yet followed and was more clearly within the "folkie" approach - one-two guitars, one voice, and most importantly possessing a critical stance on the song's topic- for Phil that would be the issues of the day as found in the New York Times (thus the "journalistic" moniker). This is where Dylan ws coming from ("Oxford Town," "Emmett Till," "Times TAA'C" etc.- issues-driven music), but not where he was at then. Phil thought himself a peer and Dylan wanted a sychophant. What do we know about Phil's fascination with W B Yeats?
