Thanks for that Les, just to echo some of your comments; Well, we thought we had covered every problem; but no!! Chris, Hull is a large city!!!Schools and whatever still cost money to organise and man, apart that this is a new event for us and we do not know what the footfall of the festival will be. More importantly we are on limited funds. This festival has run for twenty one years and I have been to most of'em.In all that time I havent known of any camping available, free or otherwise, but I am sure some one will correct me if I am wrong. For the first time ever we have managed to secure some limited campervan and caravan space near the event, basicly for artists and Stewards helpers and others on a first come first served basis. .Other people, myself included, have kindly offered to put others up in their homes. It is nowt to do with the council limiting spaces to stifle the festival - but we do have to follow very stringent Health and Safety procedures and policys or we stand the chance of being shut down. A lot of bloody hard work has gone into this festival by mostly vollunteers and we do welcome positive ideas, help and comments This festival has not been organised or run by the HCC although we have taken some advice, help and guidance from them. It is been run by a small band of willing vollunteers and some limited funding and sponsorship and yes, we have had a large chunk donated by the Hull City Council. This does not mean they have taken control, far from it. I think now is a good chance now to list and thank all our sponsers for their support and encoragement. Our artistes, commitee and stewards are listed and recognised in the programme and to them I extend a massive thank you from the commitee and myself.
