Correct. Except common sense is relative as I said. My father in law and myself being the example I gave. He thinks I spend money unnecessarily and I think he does. We would both use the term common sense to bolster our position. I also said age is important. I can't tell someone of his advancing years that a large car uses far less fuel than his small one, neither that we paid similar amounts for our cars or that being more tree huggingly planet friendly, mine is far cheaper to tax and insure, let alone using half the fuel. Neither that my ipad cost to the penny the same as the Dell desktop he asked us to get on his behalf. We tried explaining that he can do what he wishes far easier and from the comfort of his lounge rather than heat up the spare bedroom for two hours. .. But. He feels he exercises common sense. I feel I do. We are both right in our own estimation. But my bank balance at the end of the month will bear me out. . Why? Because a) it does and b) it is difficult to have a thread about common sense because we all think we have it. The thread becomes a list of things people agree with if you are not careful...
