I do apologise Nigel, but you see, crotchets and quavers and so on don't mean much to me as I can't read music at all. I play the piano by ear (I can do chords, and play with both hands) but have never learned notation.
I also remember doing 'It's Raining Again'. My very naughty eleven year-olds used to make me giggle. They'd sing "It's bloooody... raining again!" under their breath, and thought I couldn't hear it. Just the sort of thing my friends and I would do as children. Some of our Christmas carol parodies would make our teachers' hair stand on end, especially 'We Three Kings'.. .
