The point of a democracy, English Jon, is that individuals working together make their governments change, do things differently, and yes--end wars, political violence, and terrorism and intimidation of one group by another. It is done by banding together, and bringing pressure to bear. It has been done. It can be done. There is nothing useless about doing what you believe is right, and will help others. That is the daily price of citizenship in a democracy.
