A few thoughts on the more serious postings.

I had a casual relationship with a fruitcake once. Unfortunately I fell in love and it all became rather traumatic.

I think casual relationships are OK if you both know what you are getting into and no one else is going to get hurt. I have been in a fairly casual relationship for about three years but she has never been really happy about it. She wants more and keeps trying to give it up but keeps coming back because it is better than nothing. I can't commit to her because I also want more than I have with her.

I have also been on the wrong end of an affair by my ex-partner. For her it was just sex with a friend, for me it was the end of the relationship and I still haven't really recovered from it.
