I think the trouble, a lot of us are well struck in years. As it is, one is aware of repeating oneself ad nauseam to the youngsters. One's nose picks out the aroma of puke, and one thinks - I've been at it again, I repeated myself ad nauseam, and silly me! I didn't notice. Result: widespread nausea.

We're just trying keep a lid on it. The repeating of oneself, not the sick itself.

Sorry mate, but if you search the Mudcat records you'll find the subject has been pretty extensively covered. It has caused a lot of heat, and shed very little light on this subject, which is really a matter of personal conscience mainly.

Is it ever permissable to spank your child? I'm not talking about beating them. Just two or three well placed pops to the bum to get their attention. What if they have engaged in dangerious behavior like running into the street? When have you spanked your child? What would it take?How old were they?
