Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 08 Jul 06 - 05:14 PM Well! I'm ready to go--anyone going to play any music or do some dancing this evening? My mowing is complete, front and back, and I just finished my nap. I didn't know I was going to take a nap, but I sat down for a minute and a while later found myself stretched out on the couch--a very satisfactory nap, indeed! Pass me some of those chocolate covered cranberries, please. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Liz the Squeak Date: 08 Jul 06 - 03:35 AM Aha... but you've never seen me fight to get to the chocolate.... sod the Queensberry rules mate, it's every chocoholic for herself! Cadburys have been using an advertising slogan that I find most offensive. On all their big bars they've put 'More to share'... like that's ever gonna happen!!! Now where's that chocolate flavoured gin? LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Bunnahabhain Date: 07 Jul 06 - 07:32 PM There is no such thing as excess chocolate, but sometimes it's in the wrong place, such as near the Squid. You do not want to see a giant mollusc on a sugar high.... |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Liz the Squeak Date: 07 Jul 06 - 10:22 AM There's extra chocolate? :P LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 07 Jul 06 - 10:20 AM Did anyone notice the slide set up on the back side of the aquarium? Liz can wash off the extra chocolate, should there be any. |

That squid has more than its fair share of apendages and it serves him right if he gets athletes tentacle. Now get him out of that chocolate so I can get in. LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: SINSULL Date: 06 Jul 06 - 09:37 PM Hey look! The squid got into the S'Mores and is coated in marshmallow and chocolate. Wonder if we can pass him off on Liz as some exotic truffle? Poor guy is sticking to the ground. Somebody help him into the aquarium. He looks like a mouse in a sticky trap. YUK |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Les from Hull Date: 04 Jul 06 - 01:43 PM Look here, I ordered an industrial amount of borage to go with the Pimms - everybody knows you can't have proper Pimms without borage - what where you? dragged up? Unfortunately there seems to have been some sort of mix-up over the 'phone. Any ideas what I can do with all this porridge? |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Liz the Squeak Date: 04 Jul 06 - 04:56 AM Of course it will taste like chicken.. what do you think chickens evolved from? And Bunnahabhain, you dropped a B there... it's the Purbeck hills on the Jurassic Coast, which stretches all the way from Devon to Kimmeridge Bay, and beyond. Hook me up to the Pimms tanker then, in the absence of Margheurita boy, but take the celery out please, it a) adds nothing to the flavour; b) makes me hurl and c) it gets me in the eye every time I try to drink. LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 03 Jul 06 - 11:00 PM Auroch is about as old as we go, though it seems to me that we had something -- was it frozen Mammoth? -- a couple of years back. MMario cooked it, you'll have to ask him. Personally, I think it's a waste of your time. You know what they'll end up saying--that it tastes like chicken. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: SINSULL Date: 03 Jul 06 - 06:53 PM Marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate, both light and dark for S'Mores. A cold beer and a nap now. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Bunnahabhain Date: 03 Jul 06 - 05:27 PM Ahh, just in time, her puns are degenerating, the Pimms tanker is here. The lemonade and Random floating fuit and salad will arrive shortly. I shall contribute the barrel of my own beer, which is tasting better with every pint. BTW, the Kimmeridgian epoch is named after Kimmeridge, Dorset, where the Pureck hills meet the sea. The whole bay, 50 odd miles across, is fameous for dinosaur bones, and is now a world heritage site, and very pretty. There is only one question though... Can any of these time travellers go back and get us some dinosaur steaks? The trick is to stick the marinade onn before you come back, so they're absorbing the flavour for 150 million years! |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Liz the Squeak Date: 03 Jul 06 - 04:23 PM Damn.. I was going to suggest you use the pit as the oven for the sturgeon.... Or is he just going to roe, roe, roe his boat? LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern & Barbeque Summer '06 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 03 Jul 06 - 04:00 PM Did anyone else notice the giant squid just now slither past dragging a long hose? I think that rascal is turning the jello pit into an indoor saltwater aquarium. |
