Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: Helen Date: 26 Oct 02 - 08:36 PM So, maybe my SS is related to my hubby who thinks that this joke is funny: Q: What do you say to a woman with two black eyes? A: I've told you twice. And do I infer that my SS is from the North American continent, due to the reference to Halloween, which passes in Oz with hardly a murmur - except as an excuse for re-decorating shop windows? Or is this a herring of a different colour? Helen |

Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: GUEST,Fibula Mattock's Secret Santa Date: 25 Oct 02 - 05:37 PM Well, we wouldn't want you to sit about feeling neglected, would we? Your Secret Santa is a non-penguin and has fewer the six legs (which tends to support someone's observation that your Secret Santa has an oblique sense of humor). |

I confess, I confess -- you've been part of my life for so long, I can't remember when we were first introduced (if you could call it that)! Anyway, I don't change as fast as a chamelon, and I only use half as many legs, to compensate. By all means, feel free to drive a long way south, good buddy, and warm yourself while delivering your expensive and sensitive gift!! Catch ya on the flipflop. A |
Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: GUEST,Hey! Mooman! It's your !@#$ing Secret Santa Date: 25 Oct 02 - 03:45 PM Hey, wake up you old poop. Bestir your lazy self and pay attention and I'll give you a few, blatantly obvious hints. Hints anyone with half a brain could blunder through in seconds. Good Luck. OH, and by the way, who'd you expect the sweet little ghost of Christmas past? Wrong...Have you been THAT good? I doubt it. Well, I ain't sweet, I ain't little, and I'm just like Frosty, "alive as he could be". Put on your thinking cap, Moomie, did you ever wonder where the LDS get all the money it takes to build those huge @#$ %$#@ temples? I do when I pass one every day... hoe, 'ho, @#$%ing ho. best regards, yer Santy. |

Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: Firecat Date: 25 Oct 02 - 01:46 PM Ooooh, goodie, I've got a Secret Santa!! *jumps up and down with excitement* Seriously though, Santa, you askd if any of my last years hints are out of date now. I've just checked and only three of them are. Here's the three. Obviously my age is! I've got the CDs I was after last year now and my Tshirt size has gone up, but that's it. Thanks for checking!! |
Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: SharonA Date: 25 Oct 02 - 12:09 PM Yay! My Santa checked in!!! :^) :^) :^) Cats are being created, eh? (Just put a boy cat and a girl cat in a room together and they'll create cats... and/or shredded furniture...) And "things" too?? I'm intrigued; can't wait to see what these "things" might be!! I was a good girl last year and waited until Christmas Day (technically – hey, it was after midnight, so it was official!) to open my pressie. Wonder if I can muster up the same fortitude this time! |
Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: GUEST,L'l pissant's Secret Santa Date: 25 Oct 02 - 11:06 AM Dear L'il pissant: I am very much afraid that it is impossible to fit the YangTze River into a Christmas Stocking. Would a recording of the Shanty do as well? Your Secret Santa ps: threatening to urinate in the sleigh is a good way to get low cost coal. |
Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: GUEST,Ceigh's Secret Santa Date: 25 Oct 02 - 11:03 AM What would a good little possum like as a present for Christmas? I know you asked to have 'spaw stop blowing up your butt - but I'm afraid that that is beyond the power of the elves. Please post an alternate wish list. |
Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: GUEST,Secret Santa player Date: 25 Oct 02 - 11:00 AM Well, Spaw, perhaps the best clue is no clue. I'm choosing between several ideas for my Santee, and I already have a little something set aside for the delightful Cat who set this up for us! |

Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: Sorcha Date: 25 Oct 02 - 10:46 AM Oooohh, my Santa showed up!! Don't wear hats, if Christmas pudding means fruitcake, then no, like dark chocolate, and have almost every tune book in print. And sadly, I have no reliably working CD player. Some days the magic works, some days it doesn't........ |

Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: GUEST,Micca's Evil Elf Date: 25 Oct 02 - 08:13 AM I didn't know there were pictures here. Well, I went to look at my Santee's picture, and I think he needs a razor and a referal to a good 12-step program. But who am I to make judgements like that? |

Subject: RE: BS: MYSTERY SANTA GOOFY HINTS From: GUEST,Firecat's SS - without "cook" Date: 25 Oct 02 - 01:02 AM That was supposed to say "cookie" and not "cook". It has been a while since I tried this cookie-less thread-posting lark. So, thanks to hey-diddle-diddle, Ms CatsPhiddle, the Fiery-cat from the 'Cat has a Secret Santa. A very studious SS who has studied FC's postings including peeking at her pix (after some scathingly brilliant lateral thinking on the photos page) and examining familial and social relationships within our 'Cat community. Even compared this year's and last year's SS hints for good measure. [Let me know if last year's hints are out of date (these young-un's grow up so fast these days!)] So now the challenge is to put together an appropriately interesting, hopefully surprising package and give it to the elves to deliver. Maybe over land, maybe over sea, maybe through the air. Maybe from nearby, maybe from afar. |
