It was an edit of a full concert that has been out on DVD for about 2 months.

The BBC doesn't advertise of course, so they couldn't possibly tell you a fuller version was commercially available. However, they aren't above striking a deal with Sony to promote Sony's DVD for them. Same as the Scorcese Dylan really, except there the BBC were also one of the producers and showed the whole thing.

You'll find the same chant of "Bruuuuce" on all The Boss's live DVDs and CDs, and indeed at all his gigs.

Hi RD, I think it had been well and truly edited, with no intros to the songs. The crowd seemed to be well rehearsed too.

I heard this too, and I'm sure it was booing. What was going on? was something edited out?

Well, you could be right I suppose guys & lasses, but I was listening on headphones and I wasn't hearing any "r"s or"s"s (c). I'll have to wait for the repeat and re-assess!
I thought it might be an "Electric Dylan" type protest

It is Bruuuuce and NOT booing.

It took me a while to realise at my first ever Bruce live show too.

I'm sure it WAS the usual "Brooooce". Must be unnerving for the Boss, though - how does he ever know if what's coming from the crowd is the customary semi-worship or actual disapproval?

But wasn't it a great show? So much energy and soul from all the performers.

It has been suggested on another forum, but that's not how it sounded to me.

Haven't seen it yet....... are you sure that the crowd are not shouting Bruuuuuuce. That's what usually happens.

Watched this tonight, quite enjoyed it once the sound balance had been sorted out after 3 songs. I was amazed at the amount of "Booing" that went on at the end of each song. Do people really go to concerts to Boo?
