Subject: RE: BS: Favorite Beach Vacation From: Joe Offer Date: 23 Mar 08 - 09:43 PM When my 35-yr-old son was about ten, we camped at Patrick's Point State Park in Northern California. As we walked along an agate beach, we saw a whale in the water, about twenty-five yards out. As we walked along the beach, it seemed to be aware of us, swimming alongside us for a good fifteen minutes. Another time, we rented a house not far from Mendocino, California. As my son and I walked along a cliff over a secluded beach in the eraly evening, we saw five or six deer playing in the surf. I don't think I'll ever forget those two walks I had with my son. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: BS: Favorite Beach Vacation From: Emma B Date: 23 Mar 08 - 09:11 PM I'm not really a devotee of beach holidays and by far pefer mountains, lakes, rivers and forests. A memorable holiday however was spent in an Hebridean Blackhouse converted to a small hostel on the edge of the Machair a type of sand dune pasture formed from fragmented shells and rich in wild flowers. |

Subject: RE: BS: Favorite Beach Vacation From: frogprince Date: 22 Mar 08 - 09:59 PM I have a definite weakness for beach vacations. perhaps my all-time favorite beach moment was skinny-dipping in warm Carribean water in Saint Martin, under a full moon, the evening of our 9th anniversary. |
