Is it possible that the 'Spaw is funny about the Teletubbies and Barney because of the fact that during his recent experience he was unable to move himself from the bed and some fun loving nurse tuned the TV to the kiddie channels and then absconded with the remote? What do you think about Kermit and Miss Piggy, huh, 'Spaw?

That do you mean Barney's not real, Rick? How am I supposed to tell that to my kids?

Well actually I'm one of the lucky ones..... Australian TV networks run Playschool and Barney against each other, and my two have never even seen Barney. (Except once on video and they weren't impressed). Now if the networks would just run something / anything against Teletubbies..........

Rick, look at it this way...that poor dude who never made the cuts inside the purple plush is now draggin' down more gelt than any number of us put together.

Why did I watch? When my boys were 2-4, I had no option!!! In all truth, it isn't a bad show for kids and from an adult standpoint....well, let's face it, we ain't exactly the target audience!!!

A friend of our kids came in one day and he's been messing with a purple marker and had got it all over his finger.

So he says "I touched Barney"
My wife immediately countered with "WHERE did you touch him"

So I guess it's White Meat, Dark Meat or Purple Meat!!!

This thread should be renamed the "Barny Fan Club" We had to do this hip deal when I worked at the phone Co. One of these "discover what your friends think of you" thing. Our group came out being "anal retentive analists", Like what do you expect for a bunch of computer designers. Duh. Anyway the experiance was like being locked up with Barny for three, very, long, loooonnnnnggggg, days. Weather it was the Barny that is green or Barny Fife, or a combo of the too. The experiance really sucked.

People, people! Can't we all just learn to get along with each other? Barney may be a purple lizard to you Paw, but to me he is some poor singer-dancer-actor who never seems to make the final cut in those Broadway auditions. On weekends he/she is probably a face-painter in some pathetic street fair. Or even worse - a clown! forced to make balloon animals for snotty six year olds who already know how to make nuclear devices from the internet.
You try justifying 10 years of method acting classes while buried in 50 lbs. of plush!

Barney is the enemy- he waters down folk music, changes words so that tots think his way is gospel- and as soon as they get to school they refuse to sing any song whose melody remotely resembles anything they ever heard on Barney. It takes me twice as long to de-criminalize any song ever butchered by the Vile Reptile!

The part I remember goes, "I like to eat spiderlegs for breakfast, I like to much on grasshoppers for lunch, I like to sup on a doodlebug for supper....etc." I would love to be able to find the rest of the words.
