Sorry to hear it. Her autobiog, which had some title like Scarlett O'Hara's Other Sister or something, was a refreshingly down-to-earth and honest read, perhaps because though she was successful, she never became mega-hyper-famous, so her career didn't screw her head up. She sounds like someone it would have been fun to sit down and have a drink and a chat with - and like she might have actually allowed you to, star or not.

The actress Evelyn Keyes (1916 - 2008) died on July 4th from cancer. Sadly another one gone to the theatre in the sky. Her best stuff was probably done in the 30s and 40s as in "Gone With the Wind" and "The Jolson Story". Farewell dear lady. Say "Hello" to the real Jolson.
