Its a strange business - you hear people say 'I live out in the sticks'. then you meet a snake who has done that but has not managed to make a success of it due the intervention of a cross dressing scouser.

'I want to live in the sticks, but cross dressing scouser will not let me.'

With a story like that the snake could get on the Jeremy Kyle Show or
Trisha.

He was lucky! Not many people - even experienced herpetologists who know their haunts - get to see an adder.

Adders are getting very rare these days. It had probably crawled into his wood pile (he was bitten whilst fetching logs for the fire) to sleep through the cold months.

English comedian and presenter Paul O'Grady AKA Lilly Savage was bitten by an adder which was hiding in the firewood pile at his home, Paul has recovered very well but the adder is said to be very sick.
