Mike's blog today is about Pete Seeger's 90th birthday and includes his interview with Pete from the Montreal Gazette last summer and his review of Pete's new CD from Sing Out magazine.

The man, he say: I recently wrote the liner essay for The Tom Russell Anthology: Veteran's Day, a 2-CD, career-spanning retrospective of the artist I consider to be the finest singer-songwriter of my generation – the generation that started making its mark 10 or 15 years after Dylan.

Obviously a highly intelligent and discerning fellow.

Thanks for posting this C.Ham, I completely forgot about last week's show. Dara is a good friend and is now helping in doing the Sunday evening show on CKUT that Ross Harvey use to do. One year I hope to be able to have Brendan Nolan at our Folk Festival. I met him about 8 years ago performing at the Montreal Celtic Festival and I was fortunate enough to spend a little time with him. What a great song writer/singer and personality.
