Subject: RE: The Good Old Days - Magazine From: katlaughing Date: 03 Jun 09 - 11:46 AM Thanks, guys. A friend of mine was wondering about it for her 99 year old mother. I'll pass your assessments on. I do appreciate it. |

Subject: RE: The Good Old Days - Magazine From: John on the Sunset Coast Date: 03 Jun 09 - 09:04 AM Katlaughing--I have bought several issues of this magazine when it contained something of particular interest to me. My complaint is that it doesn't go into much detail...generally a small paragraph or two. It truly is a picture book, in the best sense. |

Subject: RE: The Good Old Days - Magazine From: Rapparee Date: 03 Jun 09 - 08:52 AM I've read it several times. The writers seem to view the past through very, very, very rose-colored glasses and ignore a whole bunch of things that don't fit: segregation, the KKK, the little house out back that sat near the well, being hungry, no antibiotics.... |

Subject: The Good Old Days - Magazine From: katlaughing Date: 02 Jun 09 - 10:50 PM Apparently this magazine has been around for a good number of years. I thought some of you might be interested in it, esp. the Want Ads which include folks looking for song lyrics. Have fun! |
