Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Vixen Date: 27 Jul 99 - 01:43 PM Dear Joe-- Thank you for your EXPERTISE!!! I will take your advice promptly. Please note that it was you and Max I invoked in my original message...I did NOT solicit advice from the estimable Messrs. Fielding and Catspaw. But since they seemed so happy clawing up the couch, I couldn't resist dangling some horsefeathers and fanbelts at them... weak of me, I know. Dear Barbara-- I will be using your page for email in the future! Thank you for maintaining it!!! Dear Paul-- The rule of thumb I follow is not to email anything I wouldn't want to read on the front page of the New York Times. Of course, as my father always says "thumbs are made to be broken."

Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Joe Offer Date: 27 Jul 99 - 01:23 PM Did you get your problem solved, Vixen? Basically, the answer is that the e-mail function within the 'Cat doesn't work very well, and you're better off using personal messages here or the e-mail addresses at BBC's Mudcat Resources (click). If your new computer is not keeping down its cookies, it may be that your browser is set not to accept or save cookies. Explore the "options" menu on your browser, and change the settings so it will accept cookies (this may be under "security settings"). And now, back to the show. Rick and Catspaw??? Vixen, that's what you get for asking Rick Fielding and Catspaw for technical advice. (grin) -Joe Offer- I goofed on the link, but I fixed it.... |

Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Paul S Date: 27 Jul 99 - 01:15 PM Well, Vixen. I guess you'll be watching your emails closely to see who's back you're talking behind. Example: In your next message to Art, I would like to suggest that you don't say anything like, "That Animaterra sure is a tart!" P. |

Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Bill D Date: 27 Jul 99 - 01:03 PM oh, my poor catspaw..so very neglected!..ok, here you go 'spaw (so how many words is this worth?)(I'd send the kind of nekkid pics you REALLY want, but...*sigh*)
(and, from a book on Kierkegaard I used many years ago comes this gem..(the author said his prof. used to quote it to explain how reading Kierkegaard's prose made him feel) "If a man were to signify, which he were not, if he had the power, which, being denied him, he were to endeavor anyhow, merely because he don't, would you?" |

Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Vixen Date: 27 Jul 99 - 12:53 PM Oh dear... The Cat's out of the Victoria's Secret Bag. Seems he Crept into the Threads I had in there. But I 'spect he'll look right fetching in that Red Patent Leather Fan Belt. 'Course his Fans might not like getting Belted... Tough Cookies, Huh? V

Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Vixen Date: 27 Jul 99 - 10:29 AM Turnips!!! NO!!! It's SPOZED to be HORSERADISH! (That's where my grampa grew it, anyway!) And the CATalog was spozed to go to CATspaw, because it's not ART; it's a thousand pictures for one word! ART, on the other hand, was spozed to get the cookies! WHAT is going ON here? AnyWay? V

Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: catspaw49 Date: 27 Jul 99 - 10:21 AM Use a tad more shortening and a bit less flour...they stay set better that way. And where the hell was MY e-mail??? I'm so lonely here. Just because I'm a total buffoon that no one takes seriously, doesn't mean I have no e-motion. I have an e-go just like everyone else which must be fed. So feed me some of them cookies. Peanut butter is good...or chocolate chip, something gooey would be fine. And don't bother sending any unless you're nekkid. And if you are nekkid, skip the cookies and send a picture. One picture is worth a thousand words or 6 dozen cookies. Of course if they're Kierkegaard's words it would take nine thousand. He was trying so hard to be Dr. Seuss, but he was mentally deranged and had a useless crank, which are no longer required to start a car unless a cat is lodged in your fan belts. But a few belts can help afterwards, both for you AND the cat.... And they might have been beneficial to Kierkegaard too, especially if he were trying to get down some of those "un-set" cookies you're talking about here. Lemme' know when your cookies set and I'll give him a call. Spaw |

Subject: RE: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Rick Fielding Date: 27 Jul 99 - 09:55 AM Vixen, I just received two E-mails from you. The first was seeking advice on growing turnips under an outhouse. Was that REALLY meant for me? The second, wanted to know if it was really me modelling sheer baby dolls in the latest "Victoria's Secret" catalogue. Didn't you mean to send that one to Art? Just kidding. Got your message. Glad you like "Lifeline". rick |

Subject: EMAIL/COOKIE HELP!!! (please) From: Vixen Date: 27 Jul 99 - 09:13 AM Dear Max, Joe, Somebody with EXPERTISE!!! 1) I've been trying to send emails from my personal page. The first one went to Animaterra, and went fine. The second was to Art Theime, and, even though Art's address was in the TO: box, my personal page showed it had been sent to Animaterra too. Today, I tried to send a message to Rick Fielding, and, even though I selected Rick's address off the pull-down, according to my personal page it got sent to Animaterra too. What am I doing??? What SHOULD I be doing???? 2) I got a new computer, and now, everytime I log on to the 'cat I have to reset my cookie to get to my personal page. What should I do so my cookie stays set??? Yours in abject gratitude... V |
