My daughter and family are right now watching the match on TV here. Kendall says that the flag of whichever team wins will be flown from the flagpole in celebration.

I'm not into football myself but really don't see the problem with flying the flag for such an event. If that makes me, my son and my daughter oiks then I'm proud to be an oik!

Just putting a US flag in window over our England flag.... That should confuse the neighbours... :)

I don't think the Olympics will be coming to Pocatello any time soon. If they do I'll try to milk them for all I can get.

Oh yeah......perhaps among a certain class of oik!!!

Oh yeah... two university educated oiks we are. Up yours!

What a snob, belittling people for showing support for a nation and team in a world competition.

Whacha gonna do when the olympics roll into town? Hide out in Spain?

"...Yessir, it's nitrocellulose dissolved in pure alcohol ..."

Don't they finish guitars with that stuff? Well, nitrocellulose lacquer, anyway, was "the" thing 'back in the day.'

I bought two flags on sticks and made my own yellow flag with a yellow 46 on it.

Just to give the oiks something to think about - they may be some time....

Trouble is, despite careful machining and ironing-on of the logo, the first 5 miles caused so much tearing I stuck it in the window.

AND how did it affect Valentino Rossi? Double exposed fracture, the first injury and missed race in 14 years, most of it at the top level, most of it winning races and championships.

Well, I got me some of that REAL man's aftershave left. Called "Gunsmoke" and I got it outa the 1966 Herter's Catalog. Yessir, it's nitrocellulose dissolved in pure alcohol and because I knew it wouldn't be on the market long I bought a BUNCH. Like the catalog said, I don't smell like no pansy, I smell like a MAN!

Of course, I have to be careful around sparks and open flames....

(If you think I'm kidding, I'm not. Nitrocellulose is also know as "smokeless powder" and is used in modern cartridges. Herter's did market this product back in 1966 -- I have the catalog -- and my brothers and I had a great time with the idea: e.g., "Splash it on and light up a smoke! Watch your head explode!" Herter's still exists, but doesn't sell the neat-o stuff they used to.)

That's one of the reasons why I like rugby better than American
football. If someone drops the ball or gets tackled, the play keeps
on going. I used to play a little rugby myself. Some would say they
like the CFL version of American football. To my understanding they
only have three downs instead of four, and the field is 110 yards
instead of 100 yards.

Of course real football is played in England. Rugby football. That's a bit like the American version, but without the "armor" and helmets, and without breaks between plays.

It is the cross of St George and it is the done thing to fly the flag when England goes to the World Cup. There is a very large flag hanging from our lounge window.

TSO is NOT proportionately un-endowed.

I didn't think they played real football in England. Don't they play soccer instead?

A Professor has found that there are two sizes of penis amongst UK men. There are those which fall within the normal size range and those which are less than two inches while erect. The professor has appealed for help to continue his research.

Could all men in the UK with extremely small penises make themselves known over the next six weeks by flying a white flag with a red cross from their cars?
