Subject: RE: BS: Monsanto buys Blackwater From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 27 Jul 13 - 07:04 PM I remember a grocer who kept a couple of snakes to control pests in his storage area. Some suppliers refused to deliver goods to his storage basement. This has nothing to do with the supposed subject of this thread, but that subject died of miscarriage. |
Subject: RE: BS: Monsanto buys Blackwater From: JohnInKansas Date: 27 Jul 13 - 03:54 PM Some time back most farmers kept a "yard dog" to protect the property. With a good dog it worked pretty well. A "businessman" down the street got the notion that would be a great idea, so he got a big dog to turn loose in the shop at night. He confessed a few weeks later that it didn't work out too well, because the "house cats" wouldn't let the dog out of his doghouse when the owner wasn't around. (At least that was his story when he was trying to find someone to take the dog off his hands.) John |
Subject: RE: BS: Monsanto buys Blackwater From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 27 Jul 13 - 01:18 PM The feral cat caught my attention. A few years ago, I was strolling through the dock area for fishing boats in San Francisco. Resting on a large storage bin were about 20 cats, who rose in attack position as I came by. Needless to say, I moved on rapidly. These cats not only control the rats and mice, but may also help keep out unwelcome tourists and pilferers. |

Subject: RE: BS: Monsanto buys Blackwater From: GUEST Date: 26 Jul 13 - 04:37 PM "And, ta tell ya the truth, it is good news that it isn't the truth." What's good news is that many farmers may be starting to back away from GMOs. Some of Monsanto's products seem to be causing irreversible damage to various wildlife: butterflies, bees, etc. As people here are so fond of saying, if ya have nothing to hide . . . |
