Subject: RE: BS: Music in Ads From: Senoufou Date: 20 Sep 18 - 12:36 PM There's an advert on lately using Cockney Rebel's song 'Come Up And See Me' from 1975. Rather embarrassingly the ad is for a remedy for Erectile Dysfunction, and involves a ghastly-looking chap dancing round his bedroom in triumph while his wife/girlfriend looks on beaming. Makes me cringe, but I used to adore Steve Harley. |

Subject: BS: Music in Ads From: KarenH Date: 20 Sep 18 - 03:48 AM It seems fashionable to use old music in ads. The M and S one with Santana is an example. Today I heard 'Let's Work Together' by Canned Heat used. Can't remember what the advert was for. Some music seems to be specially composed for ads and is catchy.
