Subject: RE: BS: spearmint recipes From: Helen Date: 25 Oct 18 - 03:19 PM If it was fresh you could probably chop it finely and use in any recipes of the choc-mint variety, or even blend some with a small amount of liquid and discard the leaves and use the juice in some things. Dried mint is useful for a few things, but dried spearmint wouldn't work - IMHO - because it is that fresh, light, aromatic green flavour which makes it spearmint. |

Subject: RE: BS: spearmint recipes From: Jos Date: 25 Oct 18 - 12:36 PM It's usually used for flavouring chewing gum. I wouldn't want any food (or drink) that tasted of chewing gum. Why not get some real fresh mint? |

Subject: BS: spearmint recipes From: leeneia Date: 25 Oct 18 - 12:27 PM I just bought a package of dried spearmint leaves in the Mexican food section. I can't find a single recipe that uses them, except for making spearmint tea (duh!) Does anybody know of a use for spearmint besides tea? |
