Now for an important annoucnement. I won't be coming on too much in the next month or so. The 'Cat is very important to me and all, it's just that I think it's taking too much of my time. I'll be reading more, which is one of my favorite past-times. Love y'all! ~Barky, Barkster, Baklavah, Arky.... etc. |

Subject: RE: Luck to Barky From: Kelida Date: 07 Apr 00 - 12:45 AM Good luck, Barky! Stay happy. . . Mbo--some drugs can give the same f/x. . . But I'm pretty sure bananas are cheaper, not to mention legal and better for your health (vitamin c. . .). . .etc. Go with the banana idea, Barky--or maybe an orange. Starfruits (though a bit on the expensive side) are good for that too. |
Subject: RE: Luck to Barky From: Mbo Date: 07 Apr 00 - 12:41 AM Haha! The BEST of luck in your endeavours! Yeah right, like we don't know you guys are gonna win hands down! Looking forward to pictures, YAY! Oh, and here's a tip I learned from my classical guitar teacher---before performing, eat bananas. The natural vitamins & minerals found in bananas are know to produce endorphins, which make you feel HAPPY HAPPY, thus reducing nervousness. NOTE--dried banana chips DON'T work! I tried them and STILL messed up on my final CG recital! Keep kickin' @ss, Barky! --Mbo |

Subject: Luck to Barky From: Barky Date: 07 Apr 00 - 12:34 AM Hey everyone. I'm leaving tomorrow to go to the Fullerton Jazz Festival with the band that I helped start, the SDB&E (San Diego Brass and Electric). It's our first competition, and we're all giddy. I hope everyone's blessings and love. Just for reference, here's our song list (actually, we play more than this, but this is what we're playing at the competition):
1. Sing Sing Sing
I've got at least one solo in every piece, so I'm especially nervous. If we get pictures taken, I'll send 'em in to bbc's photo page. They aughta be good. So wish us luck! ~Barky (trumpet 1, SDB&E) |
